Polarization rotator for shear elastic waves

چکیده

We designed and characterized a 3D printed acoustic shear wave polarization rotator (PR) based on the specific nature of fused-deposition-modeling printing process. The principle PR is rotation axis due to gradual change in orientation anisotropy along direction propagation layered structure. component modulus parallel infilled lines within each layer significantly higher than that perpendicular direction. As was printing, small angle between neighboring layers introduced, resulting helicoidal pattern distribution axes anisotropy. propagating follows this leading by desirable angle. total can be tuned number layers. fabricated 90° rotators demonstrate high performance improved changing infill fraction settings.
